Nuthurst and Sedgwick
Walk at Nuthurst and Sedgwick. Park at Nuthurst church. Both parts of this walk are approx 1 hour each.
1) Take the road that heads up the hill after a couple of hundred yards there is a footpath on the right into a field. The path follows the field edge, through a piece of woodland, follow it along the bottom edge of two further fields, in the third there is a right hand turn over a stream. Past the stream you will emerge onto horse gallops (take care), continue ahead between the hedges, when reaching the stables turn right, at the pond turn left. You will cross the gallops again before entering a wood, go straight ahead in the fields the other side.
1&2) At the top of hill you have a choice to extend the walk or head back. To return to parking place turn right, keep to track that runs along tops of fields until you enter a small gill, beare right and into field. The path then beares left slightly to another gate in the hedge ahead (this can sometimes be a little difficult to see) From there it is almost straight ahead into a small piece of wood that leads into the church yard, continue along the path that goes past the church and out of the gate onto the road, turn right.
2) Walk down the road past the church to the pub. Turn left down the drive opposite, When you have past the houses, there is a path diagonally across the field, having reached the top corner continue uphill until you enter a wood. A few yards into the wood turn left (this path is marked as a footpath) carry on until you reach a driveway, turn left. At the bottom of the hill there is a smallholding the path skirts around this to the right and then straight ahead through a wood, at the bottom of the wood turn left and this will bring you to the point on the other walk where there is a choice. Follow those instructions.
